Evaluating co-production as a guiding philosophy for EAP teacher training course development

This paper considers the research philosophy of co-production for use in field EAP, where it has been little utilised as a guiding principle and development projects. The central question to be addressed is appropriacy specific setting, challenges benefits brings process. For projects situated settings that are relatively unfamiliar professional researchers, provides promising framework i) ensure diversity contextually appropriate perspectives, ii) engender collaboration egalitarianism, iii) build capacity action, iv) engage with bring together community work towards common goal. We explored potential through project aiming improve EAP teaching quality tertiary education Uzbekistan. was designed implemented by one UK-based four Uzbekistan-based team members who trained tertiary-level teachers better instruct successfully reached approximately 300 professionals across detail how brought value but also ways which could not fully implemented. intend this an introduction application co-production, others can explore its exciting possibilities.
